4th of July
What a fun holiday! Family, food, fireworks. Oh boy!
Daddy, Mommy and I drove up to Uncle Jim and Aunt Valerie's house for the holiday. Daddy and Uncle Jim shot off bottle rockets and firecrackers from the front porch. Aunt Val said they were just like a couple of kids. I was careful not to get too close to them.
Then we all decided to go to the Apple Wagon for some shopping and so Aunt Valerie could drop off a new supply of honey. She sells the honey from their honeybees. I hear its pretty yummy, but I never get to have any. I love to go shopping at the Apple Wagon and ride around in the cart and visit with all my friends. I met two cute little girls who stopped to pet me. Here is a photo of me with my new friends.
Then we drove over to our friends Tammy and Mark's house. They just became new grandparents and we got to visit with the new baby, Levi, who was only two days old. Even I'm bigger than he is!
After visiting the baby, me and Mom and Dad, Aunt Val and Uncle Jim and Tammy and Mark drove up to Jefferson City to visit the street fair and see the huge fireworks display in our State Capitol. I walked all around the street fair and met lots of nice people and dogs, too! I got to eat some Greek food, some of Daddy's snow cone and some funnel cake. Yum!!! Then we saw the beautiful fireworks. I was just a little scared so Mommy held me and made me feel safe. I can be extra brave when Mom holds me tight. I was really tired after all the excitement so I slept all the way back to Uncle Jim's house.
The next day we slept in and then Aunt Valerie made a great breakfast. We all went for a nice long walk up to our property just up the road from Uncle Jim's house. Honey, my best buddy, came along too and we explored lots of great smells and stuff. It's always fun in the country.
We got packed up and left Uncle Jim and Aunt Valerie and stopped by Grandpa's farm to check the cows. On the way home, we stopped at one of my very most favorite places--McDonald's. I got to share Dad's fries and Mom's hamburger. Then it was naptime all the way back home. What a great holiday!
I hope your 4th of July was wonderful, too. Here are some photos of the fun we had.
