Dear Santa,

Hi, it's me, Gretchen Marie.  I hope you remember me.  How was your year?  Did you go anywhere this summer?

I have tried to be very good this year.  I haven't eaten a hole in one of Dad's socks in months.  I did chase a couple of chickens, but I didn't bite them.  And I have done a good job of guarding the house.  I have a very loud bark!

Please bring me a new chewy bone.  And a new squeaky toy.  I love squeaky toys.  I ate the last one Mom bought for me.  A bag of bacon treats would be great.  Yum!

And Santa, if you get a letter from Jasmine saying I chase her around the house and bop her on the head, please don't believe it.  She is a cat and everyone knows that cats always exaggerate.

I have written a little song for you to the tune of "Jingle Bells".  I sure hope you like it.

                              Santa Claus, Santa Claus
Lean your ear my way.
I have been so good this year
I really have to say.

Santa Claus, Santa Claus
Bring me lots of treats.
Bacon bits and chewy bones
And lots of yummy eats!

Oh Santa won't you please
Bring toys and treats to me.
I've been so good you see,
I deserve a shopping spree.

The cat I have not chased.
The socks I have not chewed.
Oh Santa, all the fun I've missed
So Santa, don't be rude.

Ohhhhhhh. . . .

Santa Claus, Santa Claus
Drive your sleigh my way.
I'll even leave the reindeer
Some fresh and tasty hay.

Santa Claus, Santa Claus
I beg you hear my plea.
Bring me lots of presents
And you'll get a kiss from me!
Love,
Gretchen
