What a fun time I had visiting cousin John's farm. Grandpa and Grandma, lots of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews were all there for a get-together.
John has a big outdoor fire pit where Dad popped popcorn over the fire in an old-fashioned popper. Yummy. Everyone brought a sidedish or dessert to share along with the barbequed beef. Oh boy! Everyone held me and petted me and gave
me good things to eat.
After we ate, we went for a long walk in the creekbed to look for interesting rocks and arrow heads. I found the best thing of all--one of the kids dropped a brownie! Daddy found a teeny baby snake. Mom was collecting osage oranges for a fall display. (They look like round green brains, if you ask me.)
John had a great big pumpkin patch full of different kinds and sizes of pumpkins. There were big orange ones, medium size white ones and itty bitty white and orange ones. Everyone got to pick out their own special pumpkin. I picked a really good one.
Here is a slideshow of my day.
